The staff of Shirley Plantation and the Carter family invite you to visit Shirley Plantation.

Open 7 days a week all year. Closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Hours of operation are from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tours run continuously all day. Last guided house tour begins at 4:30 p.m. and entrance gate closes at 4:30 p.m. Grounds and gardens close at 5:00 p.m.

Lady Cessalye's gift shop is open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Allow a minimum of one hour for your visit which includes a guided house tour, a self-guided tour of the grounds, gardens, and original 18th-century outbuildings with exhibits.

Youth (ages 6-18) $7.50
Under age 6 Free
AAA members receive $1 off adult and 0.50 cent of youth admission.
$5.00 admission for active-duty U.S. military personnel and their dependents.
$5.00 admission for U.S. veterans and retired U.S. military.

PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed everywhere on the plantation except inside the Great House.

LEASHED PETS are allowed in the visitor parking lot area and the designated dog walking area. Dog walkers must pick up after their pets. Only service animals are allowed beyond the visitor parking lot.

SMOKING is prohibited everywhere except in the visitor parking lot next to the "smoker oasis cans" and inside vehicles.
